Guggenheim Museum, NYC. There is always a story and this one is how the Guggenheim tried to chew me up and spit me out. As you can see from some of the photos, the wall is not very tall, but I am.

 And I have ballast weight in a vest that holds two large heavy specialized batteries and a 3rd pocket that holds the controller for my heart pump, all in front of me.

I was on the top floor and stood near the wall but when I started to lean forward I realized that it might actually be possible for me to go over the wall.

Not to be deterred, I pulled the Rolator to the wall, sat down and started to shoot, but I wasn't close enough, so I opened the brakes to inch forward.

The museum is a downward spiral and once it found out I was not anchored, whoosh - the chair turned rapidly and started down the ramp.

I did a Fred Flintstone and stopped abruptly.

Then I stood up, picked up some scattered pieces of my dignity and pushed my way, back up hill to the elevator - all while holding firmly to my camera. Oh yeah, that's how I roll.

From there it is a very short ride down to the ground level. Paul continued to make the spiral and view art. I declared war on the ramp and told it I would best it the next time.

In HS I thought this would be a great place to roller skate. I imagined how much fun it would be to skate down the continuous 6 floor spiral ramp. Note to HS self: might not be as much fun as you imagine! Just trust me on this one.
